I think I’ve attached myself too much on other that I’m starting to forget how it felt when I hold control over my own feeling and future.

The Reason For Being

"Ikigai" is a word from Japan in which means "the reason for being".
It is the reason why oneself excited to wake up in the morning and being alive. My reason to wake up is to do great works, I understand that work will always be part of my life and that's why I love to submerge myself into work and see how my work could change the life of people around me.

Do Not Run From Adversity

Dear Reader,

It's been awhile since I last wrote my story here and I guess that most of my loyal reader already vanish or forget about me. But it's okay, I'm just happy to be able to share some of my thought with whoever read this story.

So for these couple of months, I've been building up my own company, or you could say tech startup. Like life there are up and down in doing it. But I could say with what I had experience, something could shake you up more than other.

Going through the journey of building your own company you have to take responsibility not only for yourself but also for other people, in which I had never done before. For many years, I have live by myself and only care for my own ass (and close family). I'm really proud of my skill and qualification and I know that I could survive anywhere, so if things aren't going well in one place I could always move to another place. But, when you built your own company you can't do that sh*t above. You can't just run, you need to own the problem and you need to find a better way to survive. There are many people who counts on you and people who believe in you. It is harder to explain why you didn't succeed or why it failed rather than success.

With all of these hardships and adversity, it shaped me into somebody that I used to awe. I have change a lot, compare to myself a few months back, I met with a lot of great people and I learned tons of things. The kind of things that many people couldn't get in years. Although there are still many things that I felt lacking and there are so much room for improvement in the future, but with confident I could say, that in few years time there will be some kid watching me in the news channel and think, I wish I could become like him.

Do not fear adversity, do not run from your problem. Face it and you'll grow.

How death can motivate you

So, this time death happen so close to me, to a colleague of mine, a friend at the same office where I work.

He was talking with two of my other colleague and then suddenly he collapsed, my other colleague hold his head up as the other called a doctor. By that time, we was still half-conscious and still can ask some questions although unclear. By minutes, the doctor came to check on him but couldn't help him. He was rushed to ER but by then it's already too late. It took only 10-15 minutes from his collapse until his last breath.

He was still 31 with 2 young boy and a pregnant wife. He is a very smart man, with a bright future awaits him. He was prepared to be a leader and intended to succeed his boss one day. But now he's laying under ground.

This event, once again slap me in the face. I were once reminded again that life is so fragile. That death can come anytime, anywhere to anyone, including me. There is no guarantee whether you are young and healthy or not.

It gives me clarity of what's important and what's not. There's no time to waste and playing around. I got to do what I got to do. So, when death come and kiss me on the forehead. I can proudly say to the world that "I did my best and I have no regrets."

Although death is the most effective motivation, yet life have its own way to sway that motivation away. So be careful not to be comfortable with your life and always listen to your heart.

Hello Monday

I'm glad that there are some men in this world that feel the same like this. Since I was little I already knew that I'm not the 9 to 5 kind of person. I hate routines and I constantly in need of new challenges.

Pain and Suffering

I found that it is very common for most people to pray for happiness, for joy, for comfort and for a long lasting peace. It becomes a common sense for us to think that pain and suffering is a bad thing. And every suffering that they experience, every pain that they get is a bad memory that must be forgotten completely.

But have you ever think?  Why pain and suffering is still exist, when there are so many people pray for happiness for thousand of centuries, why God didn't erase it from this world?

If you look around you, you'll see that there are more people who were born under-privileged become more successful compare to people who are born with privilege and why is that? why poor people, people with bad past experience is wiser and more composed in dealing with life than the one who lead a happy life before?

Well, you see, it's the fruit of pain and suffering. It's essential for human to feel pain and to suffer. Only by when they taste it that they can appreciate what true happiness is. Pain and suffering is a way that are designed for men in order to grow, to learn and to be better.

Never fear pain and suffering my friend. Because problems are like a weight if I may say, that if your experience it repeatedly, your spiritual and emotional muscle will tear at first but then it'll grow stronger than ever.

But with that all being said, experiencing pain is only the first step of becoming a better person. A lot of people can feel tremendous pain, but still the same or even fall into darkness. A positive attitude and a mindset to learn and move forward is needed. One can't be helped if one doesn't want to be helped.

Just imagine that your life is like a game, where in order to level up you need to face a stronger enemies and as your level goes up, your foes will too become even stronger. So when you feel that your life has become a little bit harder, it just mean that you just leveled up.

Never give up and always thrive to be better.

Happy Martin Luther King Day!

In this big and unfair world, where technology are getting more advance and people getting more

There will be times when we get so busy living our own life,
We start to forget about the people around us,
We start to ignore others that need help,
We start to become more selfish,
We start to think that our agenda is more important than other,

That is time when we need to stop for a while and breath,
Look around,
Appreciate the things that life gave you.
Be grateful for what you had achieved.
And then start to lend a helping hands.

Because if you live only by chasing your own illusion,
You haven't start living.

Only when you share your life with others,
You'll live contentedly.
